Makayla walking with her walker

August 20th - 8 months old

I decided to let Makayla try out her walker and she did surprisingly well. I thought it would be too fast for her, but she kept up.

Makayla got tired of her walker and decided to go for a crawl. My little turkey is getting fast.

8 months old

Dear Makayla,

Today you are 8 months old. You weigh 14lb 11oz and 26.5 inches. You got your first 2 teeth this past month. You are getting very fast at crawling and are starting to furniture surf. You have even stood on your own a few times. Today you also used your walker to cruise around. You smile and giggle all the time. As soon as a camera is pointed in your direction you know it is time to smile and you ham it up! You love cheese, tofu and toast! You make your mommy and daddy so proud!

The other night we were all playing on the bed together and I happened to move a bag of crackers. Makayla just started going hysterical. We managed to catch the tail end on camera. You should have seen her before. She was laughing so hard she kept falling over

Aunty Courtney and I took Makayla swimming for the first time a few weeks back. She had so much fun splashing and crawling in the shallow end and also floating in her floaty in deeper water.

More Firsts

Makayla's second tooth came in today. Well actually Dave says he felt it yesterday but I didn't notice it until today.

She also climbed a couple steps on the stairs at Grandma Marg's today. She did it like it was nothing. Just crawled over to the step and climbed up no problem. It was pretty much her first time around stairs.

Makayla also stood with no support twice!! She was holding on to me and let go, stood for about 5 seconds and then just casually grabbed me again! My baby girl is growing waaay too fast!

First tooth

Makayla's first tooth poked through today. It wasn't there last night, but it was there this morning. I guess that explains all the waking up last night! :)

Family Day - Bunzen Lake

We went to Bunzen Lake for the day a couple weeks ago. Had a great time with a picnic and a walk on the trails.
