Dish of the Week

Week 1: Zuppa Tuscana Soup
Rating: 9/10
The soup was delicious! I'd give it a 9 out of 10. Next time I would cut my potato chunks a bit smaller, and maybe added some crushed chilli pepper for spice.

We had garden salad with Italian dressing and warm b:read with butter. A copycat of Olive Garden. Yum Yum!

Week 2: Apple Smothered Pork Chops
Rating: 6/10

Pork chops smothered in tart apples, a gravy from the drippings, drizzled with molasses, and sprinkled with golden raisins.
(Just before dish was put in the oven to bake)
We personally were not a big fan of this dish. It had a weird combination of flavours and definitely wasn't the best pork chop recipe I've made. I would give it a 6/10. Odd since I heard rave reviews about this recipe. It didn't help I used Superstore pork chops and they were rather tough and dry.

I served this meal with steamed garlic and herb buttered carrots (yum) and mashed potatoes (double yum)

Makayla all ready to enjoy dinner with mommy and daddy. That is where she usually sits during dinner. She can play with her toys and we can talk to her and keep her entertained so she doesn't fuss.

Week 3: Rice Tamale Dish
Rating: 9.5/10

Mmmm! We thought this dish was delicious! A very tasty Mexican recipe. Dave thinks it would be a good filling for a burrito, topping for a salad etc. Yum! It will definitely be made again. Rated 9.5/10

Week 4: Chicken Ceasar Salad
Rating 7/10

Ok, I'm not going to lie, this week was a little bit of a cheat! haha. I have most definitely made Ceasar salad before, BUT I've never made croutons before. This has homemade ceasar salad dressing that I have been eating since I was a kid and whole wheat croutons. The croutons didn't work out well since I was in a hurry so I will have to give this meal a 7/10
